I also don't know how to get the non-DIsplayLink port to work for another monitor, but I've got 4 monitors up already (one directly into the second Thunderbolt port on the Mac and counting the laptop monitor). The sound coming out of the sound port is actually pretty good, but I'm no audiophile.
