## Overview

The Xpectre, Inc Rapture is a compact take-down survival bow designed for both left and right-handed archers. Made in the USA from rugged aluminum and fiberglass, it offers a powerful draw weight of 40 or 50 pounds at a 30-inch draw length, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned archers. The package includes three Warrior Feather Arrows, ensuring you have everything you need to hit the ground running.

## Description

The Raptures riser is a rugged aluminum skeletal design with a universal arrow rest. This innovative design will enable the archer to use 1 bow in 4 different configurations. For the Raptor 40/50 model, it can be used Right handed or left handed, set at a 40lb. draw or a 50lb. draw with using the same limbs and string. The arrow rest is on the center line of the bow with the string and the skeletal stock gives the archer a good window of sight for alignment to the target. Each riser is flat black anodized for a durable surface finish with sure grip sides added. The limb material is the Supersil poly- resin fiberglass which is the same material as Xpectre’s other bows.

Review: Great!! - Its Great! I don't understand why people review it bad. It is a survival bow meant for survival, not a practice bow. I would of course test it out but I would practice on a better made bow that was meant for practice. If you practice with this I'm sure after a hundred or so shots you will have some type of problem. It was only meant to be used once in a while for survival, not every day. I bought this to add to my survival gear. Great for what it was meant for.
Review: great product with slight modification - Except for the arrow rest and sharp edges of where one grips the bow its an excellent product. Arrow rest can be taken out and replaced with a standard one, just make sure there is enough padding to raise it orelse get used to missing targets to the right. As for the grip, i used tennis wrap. Use carbon arrows and avoid wood arrows as the thickness and roughness of spine of wood arrows will not give consistent results.

### ⭐ Avoid for you safety and sanity....

Xpectre, from what i've been able to gather is a mom and pop shop. One would expect decent customer service, but my experience was pretty bad. I guess they have better things to do. Again, this would be forgivable if the bow they sell was of decent quality. I ordered the bow on this site, but ended up cancelling the order since the one on amazon isnt the 45/55 # version and obtaining it directly from the Xpectre site. They took my money immediately but didnt ship for several days. I was told, after a few emails that their entire office got the flu, so that's forgivable. Can't fault them for that. I received the bow and noticed that the arrow rest was different from the one pictured. It's NOT removable. Again, i contacted them several times to see if there was some trick to it. The bolt seems like it should twist out, but apparently it's not threaded into the riser. When i finally got in contact with someone at the office by calling (they didnt answer these emails) i was told the bolts are "locktited" into the riser. The website and reviews i've seen online clearly say the arrow rest is removable. The woman on the phone said she would talk to her husband, the man who designed the bows and see if there was a way around it. Never heard back from her. At this point i'm getting pretty frustrated with them. So....they say the bolt is adhesed to the riser or nut within the riser with locktite screw glue. That didnt make much sense to me since the bolt would spin but wouldnt lossen. Anyway, i ended up having to pry the damn thing out with pliers. Again, it didnt/doesnt appear that the bolt was connected to any nut or anything.... Whatever, i got a it off. I strung up the bow using a longbow stringer and fired a few arrows through it. Not bad, not bad. I put maybe 20 arrows through during a family cookout. This is my first bow so i kind of suck at shooting, but the arrows flew true. Unstrung using the same tool and shot again the next weekend. The third time i strung it up one of the limbs cracked horribly at the base. It's important to mention that the limbs can be bent eitherway, and although there is no manual or instruction to do so, after reading/viewing the three or so reviews online for this bow i knew to mark one side on each of the limbs to make sure i only bent them one way, so as far as i know i followed all safety procedures for caring for a new bow and this thing still failed the third time i strung it up. The bow itself is a great idea, but the materials appear to be pretty shoddy. The customer support was horrible and so far i've still got no answers on my several inquiries after the bows failure. They don't stand behind their product and bow limbs are a very dangerous failure point if you value your face or hands. Again, i'm no expert, but based on my experience i would suggest spending the extra money and getting a better bow, for your own safety.
