BlueDriver Compression Tester Kit (8 Piece Set)

I love this compression tester. I have had 3 testers so far, and this is definitely the best. Harbor freight tester was just junk, and read about 30psi under what compression really was. Junk. 2nd tester was a Bosch unit I bought for well over the price of this tool. Or held up for about 4 months, then started giving me funky readings. Now reads about 10psi less then this tester. The o rings were junk and did not last very long. You can tell the o rings are thicker and better quality then my other two testers. The case makes this tool feel like atleast a hundred dollar tool, I ride and work on high performance two stroke jet ski motors, and use this tool often. Does what it says accurately, everything I have tested has been dead nuts on. I like the look and feel of the product, easy to read and feels high quality, lots of attatchments that I will never use, but better to have it and not need it as my old man would say. The real reason im bothering to write a review is for the customer support. I bought this instead of a leak down tester thinking I could simply attatch shop air to the whip, and blow air into the cylinder using their fittings for much cheaper than a leakdown the only down side to this product is that the male fitting on the whip is an extremely non-typical fitting, so good luck finding an adapter for your air compressor, however, when I attempted to contact support they immediately responded, were very kind and professional, and even over-night shipped me the female quick coupling I was attempting to buy.

First off the case that this compression tester comes in is great, and the foam cut outs make it seem like a high quality kit. This compression tester worked very well the first time I used it, it held the compression until I released it. I had consistent readings on the same cylinder each time I tested it. I like that there are several adapters included that should work on many different engines. There are a couple things I don't like about this kit. I wish the extension hose had a hex on the end so it could be tightened and loosened easier. The crimps on the hose also seem to be fairly cheap, I haven't had any issues so far, but time will tell how long they'll last. The last issue I have with this kit is the guage face itself, the gauge I received definitely must've been missed in QC as the numbers are not centered very well and as can be seen by my pictures they're on the very edge of the gauge. This doesn't prevent the gauge from working but it is a bit irritating to look at. I would still recommend this set for the price.

Buying the Bluedriver OBD II I purchased this by accident. This compression tester must have been a special option checking out.. kinda sneaky. But a Good price. Very nice looking guage Great selection of quick release module adpaters 1 straight 1 angle push on. 4 threaded plug low profile adapters with a unique detachable hose. Verses a standard crimp on hose. Identical readings compared with my U.S. general module kit. looks like i will keep this set bluedriver set with better looking and design. Accurate and consistent.

I have a Mini that uses tiny plugs and my old tester would not fit. I bought this because of the different sizes of spark plug adapters. It seems like a nice product and is easy to use. I don’t have anything to compare it to or test it with; so, I can’t really rate the accuracy. The numbers seem like there in the range. Im happy with my purchase.

Hi, I first bought a different compression tester and after checking all my cylinders was both scared and shocked. Nervous because it showed my compressions to be lower than the acceptable range by at least low by 30-40 points. So, at first, I thought I needed to buy another engine. Then I ran a second and the third test for each cylinder again and saw the new results to be all over the place. The second test was less than the first one by 10 points and the third result was more than the first one by many points. So, I knew I needed to return it ASAP. Then I drove for 30 minutes to Autozone and borrowed their compression tester just to come home and find out that they do not have an adapter that fits my Mercedes. Very disappointed I went online. I checked many compression testers and compared them against one another until I decided to get this one and I was very pleasantly surprised after receiving it. The case is made of high-quality materials. Although the foam inside did not keep some of the fittings in place, but I could care less about that. I needed an accurate tester. I tell you, I check every one of my engine's six cylinders twice, and not only my compression results were at a very good level but just as important the second test results were either identical to the first one or differed by no more than 2-3 points. I am very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and consistency of my new gauge and would highly recommend it.

have not used it yet & have to download the instructions, Thought I had a compression issue, turned out 2b something else, So I have not need it but keeping it cause I know may need it later...+ it's waaaaaaay past the return date LOL.
