If you take your time to drink all your tea, you may need to get one of those tea warmers or tea warmer covers that covers the tea pot as it doesn't keep your tea warm for an extended period of time. I'd say after about 30-45 min the tea is already cooled off in the tea pot. This is not one of the tea pots that are on the stove top, as least it doesn't look like it should be. I pour in already boiling hot water into the pot and steep tea leaves in there. As for easy to clean, I don't have any issues cleaning the teapot. I always soak the teapot in water after using it so that the loose tea leaves i use do not get stuck. I have tons of dish washing tools so i use the straw cleaner in the spout to try to clean that area out. Otherwise, it's pretty low maintenance. For the most part, the set was well packed. However, as you see from my pictures the spoons came in broken. I wish I can exchange it but I have guests coming for tea time on Easter Sunday so I really need a nice tea set to entertain. Update: the seller contacted me and sent me 3 spoon replacements within a week. I am happy and wanted to update my review to 5 stars! I now have a complete beautiful tea set.
