What's the difference between gll-2 50 and gll 55?

Thank you for your question. The GLL2-50 has a working range of up to 65ft, then up to 165ft with use with a receiver. The GLL55 goes up to 50ft with no option of use with a receiver. The GLL2-50 has an accuracy of +/- 1/4" at 100ft and the GLL55 is +/- 1/8" at 33ft. The GLL 50 comes with BM 3 Positioning Device, Laser target, batteries and belt pouch while the GLL 55 comes with magnetic mounting bracket, laser target , batteries and hard carry case. Can you use this for an out door, sunny conditions?

Thank you for your question. The GLL 55 Self Leveling Tool has a red laser which is more visible to any dim-lighted area or indoor. If you will use it outside, make sure it is not under direct sunlight and use a laser enhancement glasses, plus a target pad for a much better visual of the laser beam. Mine never stops flashing, is it defective?

Hi! When working with automatic leveling, the GLL 55 will flash for a few seconds  after switching it on because the tool is still trying to self-level until it becomes levelled.  If automatic leveling is not possible or if working without automatic leveling, the laser lines will flash continuously.
