I installed 4 of the 1” valves several years ago in my front yard. They work like new to this day. No leaks, no failures, no noise. I just bought 4 more identical 3/4” valves to replace leaking Toro valves in the back yard. I chose these Rain Bird valves here on desertcart for the following reasons: 1. The price is about $10 less than Home Depot. 2. The valves are rated up to 150 PSI of water pressure. Cheaper valves are only rated at 75 or 80 PSI. 3. Rain Bird offers rebuild kits for these valves. 4. I’ve had no problems with the 1” valves in the front yard after years of use. I did notice that these are a frequently returned item on desertcart. Only explanation I can think of is the wrong type of valve or the wrong size was ordered. There were reviews that complained of failures and leakage.
