Just my opinion **Q: Is it pet safe** A: This product is supposed to be safe even to snakes. I have a dog that was bit by a rattler and have been using this to protect my Yorkie ever since. It smells heavily of cloves and that's why I started getting hose-end sprayers because the smell that repels the snakes was so gagging to me when I was only an arm's length away. This will do nothing for snakes already in your perimeter, like snail repellent, it works to keep them OUT of the perimeter if they're not there yet. Snakes come out in April here in the hills and I usually spray as soon as I see the first lizards sunning themselves. **Q: i want to put the repellent into a spray bottle (for spot application), does anyone know how many parts water/parts repellent?** A: If you dilute it, sure. I’ve had great luck using my pump yard sprayer with it. I dump two bottles in and then fill up with water. (5/1 ratio is listed on the bottle but mine is more 3/1). I find that it gives a much better coverage than using the bottle that comes with it and a water hose. **Q: How much water do I mix it with if I want to use a spray bottle?? (I thought "ready to spray" meant it was in a spray bottle.)** A: You're smart. The hose sprayer is a lot less efficient than using a pump sprayer. I use a pump sprayer and I use a 4/1 ratio water/solution that seems to be exactly what comes out of the hose end sprayer. So here are some REALLY helpful tips! - So when hooking up to your water hose, do make sure that the bottle is in the OFF position! Yes, mine was! - Once you turn it to the ON position and the water is on, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE TIGHTLY HOLDING ONTO THE HOSE AND THE BOTTLE WITH EACH HAND! (Ie: left hand on hose, right hand on bottle… Or reverse if you are left-handed!!) If you are not holding it tightly, you will get sprayed in the face! That bottle will whip around straight into your face! - Thankfully it is natural! Surprisingly, when it hit you in the eyes, it really doesn’t burn that much!
