When worn over the ears provide a very secure hardhat attachment. They do add a bit of weight way up high, but it's worth it for me working out of a pickup truck maintaining gas compressors stations where exteame noise levels from Cummins and CAT engines and compressor Blowdowns will deafen a guy in short order. Though they are $10+ more than other well known models, I highly recommend this style for it's specific design meant for the MSA full brim models.
