But so far -- 8 months -- it has worked just fine. I use it infrequently (weekly maybe) to switch between two old PCs, a Win10 and a Linux, mostly just playing around. It has not yet failed, or caused any electrical problems.I would further note that my monitor also has an HDMI input, which I use to connect to my security monitor box. In that case, I use the DVI box such that neither is selected (both buttons up), then plug in the HDMI cable, and the monitor displays the security cameras.So there are multiple connections and disconnections -- though not a lot over time -- and all seems to be working fine. I would suggest that the silk-screening is backwards -- the ports should be to the rear, the indications up front.
