I have a feeling these will be impossible to get this Xmas. For resellers who sell on Amazon, the price has to be high as Amazon takes $12-16 dollars. You have to sell them for $65 just to break even the shipping. If you can get one for $70 with Prime shipping, I would get it. These could be those $200 items in November, but I could be wrong. It's really hard to say, but I've seen actual retailers selling them at $60. I can honestly say this toy is cool - my whole extended family is getting them for the annual Xmas battle **Q: Does this take batteries? What powers it?** A: 6 d batteries. There is a button you have to hold beneath the trigger that starts a motor. Ball goes through two spinning discs. **Q: I might be missing something, but it's not obvious to me where you actually insert the batteries?** A: In the blaster’s stock where the black plastic is, there are two screws you have to tell remove to take out the battery tray :) **Q: how many times a month do you have to replace the batteries?** A: There is no real way to answer that.
