This step stool feels like a modern version of the one my grandma always kept in her kitchen, familiar, practical, and built to be used every day, just with a much more contemporary look. It’s exactly the right height to reach the back of upper cabinets without feeling wobbly or overbuilt. One of my favorite details is how easy it is to position. I can slide it into place with my foot, and once I step on it, it presses down and locks in securely so it doesn’t move at all. It feels very stable and confidence-inspiring when you’re actually standing on it. The real win for me is storage. It fits perfectly under the lowest shelf in my pantry, so it’s always right there when I need it. No unfolding, no carrying it around, and no using my hands to drag it out. It was also incredibly easy to assemble and feels solid and sturdy once put together. This is one of those simple, well-designed items that quietly makes daily life easier, and I find myself using it far more often than I expected.

It’s great. Rolls smoothly. Go slow and it locks in place as soon as you step on it. It stays securely in place until you step off. I find it best to be holding edge of cabinet as I move. Slowly. I’m 75. It great for what we needed. Easy to vacumn off step grooves, size is great but makes everything so much more accessible for me as I’m only 4’91/2”.

I own two Cramer Kik-step rolling stool I that are now 28 years old. Still working beautifully. I ordered third this year-I have to hire strong man to put together and am awaiting help. I don't have strength to assemble my new stool. My first two were assembled when they arrived and I'm still using them. I'll report when my new stool is operational. You will never go wrong with a Cramer Kick-step especially if you are 5'1" or shorter and small in stature. Handyman quickly installed top part to bottom part after 3 different women failed. Trick-It requires person of 180 lbs to insert top to bottom. I'm so happy. My third stool is now in service!!

I am 5' 4" so I am frequently frustrated when trying to reach items from top shelves in my kitchen cabinets. I do have a good step ladder that gets me up there but it is a pain to push/lift around the room so I only use it for big cleaning & re-organizing projects. Then I saw this "kick stool" on a website. WOW! Exactly what I needed. The spring-mounted/wheeled bottom allows it to be "kicked" into place, gliding across easily. When it is in the target spot, you step on it. That's it. The spring-mount is disabled by weight and makes it super stable. Best of all, you just step off and it goes back to gliding. This model is very nicely made (the beige/black combo is exactly the same as other items in my kitchen). Now I'm thinking of getting more of them for my bathrooms.

Still the same high quality these stools were when I was young, yet with lighter material. Parents had a kick-stool shaped the same back in the 1980s and this one works even better. Wheels have an easy roll. Light weight for picking up to carry. Well constructed. Assembly required when arrives in smaller box. Instructions easy to follow. Perfect height for sitting (about 2" lower than a metal folding chair). Safe for kids: my grandchild of 17 months used it like a walker to toddle around the house with ease. There is a 'bumper' edge at the very bottom and a black rubberish 'strip' that lines up with the toe holes under kitchen counters to keep it from being scratched up or damaging the kitchen wooden under counter cabinets. Grooves on top are not deep, thus keep shoes from slipping but also makes it easy to wipe of dirt or spills. After four months of daily use, I am VERY pleased with this rolling step stool. FYI: the rolling gap height when no weight is pressing the unit down is just under 1/2", thus, not good for shag carpet. Rolls fine, but not as far or as quickly, on a thin plush or low pile carpet.

"Library stools" like this are really built to last and are pretty safe to use. I have seen big and tall men climb on these to change a light bulb and it handled their weight without issue. This brand is the best IMO. I bought this to use in master bedroom closet in order to reach the shelf above the clothing bar. I can roll it with my foot to where I need to be and then step on the lower level so the stool stays in place before stepping to the top to reach up to the shelf. I have often used this type of stool on hardwood floors and low pile carpet in libraries. My bedroom is carpeted with a low shag and the stool rolls just fine on it as well. Now that I am over 65, it is important to avoid any falls -- This stool is stable and solid and makes me feel safer when I need to step higher. It is much safer than any folding stepstool and though the folding one could be perhaps placed more out of the way. I do not feel this stool is "in the way." I like the red color because it is easy to see in the closet. The price I paid on Amazon was very reasonable especially considering I think this stool will last for at least a couple generations of family usage. (I don't expect it to be left in a wet area and it shouldn't rust unless it is in wetness.) Highly recommend. A+ for ease of use, safety & sturdiness.

We had to buy a new one because one of wheel caster assembly of our 50+ year-old Kik Step Steel Stool wouldn't fully retract. Good: The product arrived five days early from the estimated dellivery date. It was easy to assemble. Needs Improvement: When I used my cell phone to scan the QR code on the enclosed directions sheet, I got a message that the video was private. Please correct this. I had to go to my laptop and search Youtube for the how-to-assemble video

Sometimes there's no room in a product for improvement and this timeless little kick stool is one of those. I needed a little stool I could move around the shop for getting to some higher sections of my cabinets and this thing is perfect. It moves so easily on the cement and is rock-solid stable when my 220lb frame stands on it. I got the red one so I could easily find it around the shop and the paint quality is better than I expected. Nothing about this little stool feels cheap and it's well worth the $70.

I love the lock system. It always feels sturdy and safe. I love that it rolls easily and has bumpers to protect anything it bumps into. Great for my kitchen. Takes up less space than my folding step stool and I don’t have to be constantly folding and unfolding. Love it.

It’s light and rolls easily to where you need it. Yet It’s incredibly strong and safe.

This step stool is amazing. I needed a new one after 40 years with my old one. This is exactly the same and looks great. I am delighted.
