You can configure it to use the 4 connectors as inputs or outputs. I currently use 3 inputs and 1 output in my configuration. The SDI captures very well and provides a nice, high quality signal. The only strange thing that I wish they would correct is how the connectors are labeled in the software. For some reason the order from left to right is 1, 3, 2, 4 not 1, 2, 3, 4. this can get confusing at times. Not sure why they did this. It would be nice if they also labeled the connectors. It would be easy to invert the order and spend a great deal of time troubleshooting the wrong input. Overall, the product is very good, especially for the price.
