General Hydroponics GH1622 Fertilizer, 1 Quart

I've used most the big nutrient lines out there except a few newer ones in the game and this stuff is my favorite by far. Started with this company thwn tested a ton more and came back to this one has everything you need for a base.

I am so, so glad that I decided to purchase this in place of the liquid nutrients made by Aerogarden. I was about out and needed to order more but with needing to watch my spending I just couldn't see spending the $9.95 for the tiny 3 oz. container of the Aerogarden brand of liquid nutrients. I decided to look through the reviews and found one of someone saying they used this brand of General Hydroponics FloraNova in place and it worked just as well. I have had my Aerogarden for over a year and have grown nothing but lettuce so I know how long it takes before harvest and the general size of the leaves. Let me tell you I am amazed at the growth of the leaves with using this General Hydroponics brand. The leaves are way bigger than they have ever been when using the Aerogarden brand and the cost is way cheaper. To have gotten close to the same volume amount of the Aerogarden compared to this brand, it would have been 5 bottles at $9.95 each for 15 oz. total, right under $50 when this bottle of General Hydroponics is 16 oz. for $12.17. This bottle will last me several years and produce a better harvest. I won't be going back to using the Aerogarden brand and will stick with this one. I took a picture of what it looks like at 23 days since planting seeds. I wish I had taken a picture of what the leaves looked like at this timeframe when I was using the Aerogarden brand liquid nutrients for comparison but I never thought there would be a need for doing so. I can just say that when using the Aerogarden brand, the leaves were big enough for harvest around 24 days but nowhere as big as what is seen here using the General Hydroponics brand at just 23 days.

What can I say? You can't really go wrong with these guys. This is my second bottle of this particular type. I bought the trio set after my first one expecting this same formula with the same type of bloom in it and a micro. I did not know there was a one part which is this one and that the trio kit I was getting was a different type. The trio kit was fine no complaints like I said you can't go wrong. I just wish I knew before I grabbed it that it was different is all. So this time I checked it out a little better and got the blend I like :) Fantastic results all around guys fantastic results. This bottle is a TON of nutes. It took over a year for me to use up one bottle. They go a long ways use carefully until you know what your plants need. Just slowly increase the amount till you hit the right mixture and roll with it. Maintaining Ph with this stuff is so so easy. My water is almost perfect before I add to it. Once I add this it brings it right to where I want it which is so nice no messing around about it at all. Get water add nutes apply and done. Oh and this stuff smells like death and will probably destroy any fabric it comes in contact with. Don't spill it! No I didn't spill any but if you could see this stuff you would know why I say not to spill it. This WILL stain any carpets/clothing etc. Keep paper towels or something around to wipe the edge of your bottle and inside of the cap off with. Keeping the bottle opening clean is important the nutes are thick and sludgy to some extent and will quickly make a mess of the bottle opening. Trust me you will be happy you listened to this advice should you take it.

This is amazing plant food. Got this and the bloom. The plants absolutely love this food. They look amazing. They get this and recharge only. Defiantly going to be my go to brand for nutrients for my plants.

Perfect amount of fertilizer and quality hummus. I think this is the best fertilizer and use all of my general hydroponics grow on plants that seem to need some food. I am making progress with this ferilizer when there is a half a teaspoon in a gallon up until a tablespoon to a gallon. Doesn't really cause plants to get a single stem but the plants look more like the a-typical A shape with bushy tendencies and tiny tender leaves. This doesn't over power the natural growing process and is fully capable of being the only fertilizer for the right amount of branches and leaves, both of which are probably more frequent with this low nitrogen level of 7. I am surprised how it doesn't burn the plants and begins to help the plants grow but not try to force them into growing. Don't let it replace the rules of fertilizing twice a week because it's week, still causes enough growth in the plants to rival any 10-10-10.

This is the first product I've tried since I've just converted my Syngonium Chiapense to leca and in a matter of weeks, it's pushed out several new leaves. I wasn't expecting my plants conversion to leca to be easy, but this product was definitely perfect in giving my plant the nutrients it needed. I didn't notice any smells. Upon arrival it came undamaged with no signs of leakage. The directions are easy to understand.

It's a good growing fertilizer for every plant especially for my vegetable garden, fruit trees and roses

I've been buying different fertilizers to test out on my orchids and aroids and, for the money, it is difficult to beat this one. What I like: 1) The NPK ratio supports both growth and bloom 2) it has a full suite of micronutrients so you only need one bottle (the bloom formula isn't necessary in my case) 3) very concentrated so a little goes a long way 4) liquid so you don't have to spend time dissolving crystals 5) it seems to be pH balanced, the pH does not drop below 5.8 (even in reverse osmosis water) What I don't like: 1) it is VERY thick and difficult to draw up a pipette for measuring small amounts 2) you have to shake the heck out of it before use to homogenize it For a person looking for a one-bottle liquid for general houseplant use, I would definitely recommend it. Is the formulation necessarily better than others, no, but it is more cost effective. One quart of this costs $25, a quart of TPS Liquid Plant Food is $20, you only need 1/4 the amount of this to make the same strength as TPS. (I do like TPS quite a lot, this just happens to be more cost effective for the same results).

Indoor plants looked like they were dying, they had stopped growing, and all leaves were turning yellow, I believe they had nitrogen deficiency. Two days into watering with this stuff and they started turning green with new growth, and started growing bigger and they are healthy again. I've used their bloom fertilizer as well and they're both great products.

Plants seem to love it so that makes me happy. Get a ph tester and you are set to mix up the perfect concoction for your plants.

I asked for 2 pints (473ml) but instead I received one large 900ml+ bottle. I placed this order for I and a friend. We have two separate grow rooms in two separate locations. That was why I orders two little bottles. If I had ordered one 473ml bottle would I have got the 900ml+ at my doorstep? I guess not.
