This a fantastic timer. You won't go wrong :) **Q: Does this timer do hours and minutes?** A: Depends on the model they send you. I originally purchased a model where the two left-hand buttons were labelled Hr-Min and Min-Sec (as your figure probably shows), and the mode was chosen by changing a small switch on the back. When used in count-down mode, that model counted down, rang its alarm, then counted up --- which was rather useful. My wife damaged that model, so I purchased what I thought was the identical model as a replacement. When it arrived, the two left-hand buttons were labelled Min and Sec, and the maximum Min was 99: NO hours. The little switch on the back was gone. Also, having counted down, it stopped at 00.00 --- no counting up. You need to contact the seller; make sure you know what to expect; and be prepared to return the device immediately if it is not what you expected. I eventually purchased a more expensive Pursun timer: separate HMS buttons, H up to 23, and counts up after counting down. Heavier on batteries, but you can switch it off when not in use (unlike the Hygiplas). Good luck. **Q: Hi. Can you take off the magnetic strip.** A: Its not meant to come off but it would if you trioed to force it off. Ours fell from the fridge door and came off on its own. We replaced it with a bigger stronger magnet and it doesnt fall off anymore as thats where we wanted it. **Q: How do you set the memory on this?** A: If you let timer run its course then switch it off, the display will revert to the duration you set.
