I bought one of these back in October and it has been sitting in my spare room until I was ready to start making t-shirts. I've just put it together and am shocked at the whole experience.Upon opening the parcel, there were some washers, bolts and a bearing strewn around the box. At the bottom was a DVD which I assume contains assembly instructions. However, the DVD was just thrown in without a case and was ruined. There was no possibility of playing anything on it.After unpacking everything and sorting it by part on the desk, I was a little confused as to how it goes together so consulted the "Instruction Manual". The manual consists of a couple of sheets of A4 with some small, blurry pictures of the parts on and no directions or instructions in sight. There are a couple of pictures of the press in various stages of assembly, but nothing in context and no, it's not like the IKEA diagrams where you can actually make sense of them and it follows a sequence. You may as well just try and figure it out yourself because the "manual" is actually just a bunch of pictures of the parts.The bolts don't line up with the holes!!! The folding arms have two bearings attached to one end that bolt on to the rotary plate in the centre. Unfortunately the bearing housings don't line up with the holes on the rotary plate. Not even close. It is possible to get them to kinda sorta line up if you prise the bearing housings away from the bearings by wedging something flat and solid down the sides and firmly and carefully leveraging them out a little (you can use the frame brackets to do this). You can then force the bolts down the holes but it's still very tight.When bolting on the brackets which hold the frames, they thread the holes before they paint the metal. The paint clogs up the threads and it is very hard to get the bolts in. They don't bite and you have to really press down hard while slowly rotating to try and clear out the paint. You will slip many times and probably hurt your fingers.One of the arms on mine doesn't stay down. I also have dozens of bolts, washers and nuts left. I don't know if that means I've done something wrong or they just put plenty of spares in.If you do buy one and manage to get it put together without any problems, it is pretty sturdy and solid. It's very heavy as well (probably 20-30kg) so you'll need a sturdy workstation.
