But it won’t let me have more than 3 in the app. How do I connect the fourth?** A: TP Link allows up to 10 nodes on one network. I had trouble adding my 3rd node. I found that it helped out a lot to power them on and add them one at a time. Also if you are doing “wireless backhaul” your 4th node may be to far away from the other 3 nodes to establish a connection. I would highly recommend running Ethernet cable to each node if at all possible in your setup. I did this and it doubled the speeds on my network. Will the system be strong enough?** A: Yes. We have about 3700 sq ft. Thus the need for a mesh system. We have a detached garage with a blink camera perhaps 250 feet away from the house. I placed on of these mesh devices upstairs in the house for another work room. The blink camera is working just fine. For point of reference - house is solid brick with interior walls also being brick covered with plaster (house is circa 1840's).
