Product Description Review: Nice Chacos - Great shoes- just as described. They were a fit for my husband and he loves them! Review: Chaco Men's Z1 Classic Sport Sandal - This is my first pair of Chaco's. Somehow I always overlooked these in the store. I bought this sandal to wear hiking in the Rockies. It was a good choice. They do hold on to your feet at a steep edge. I was descending on terrain I would not normally attempt in sandals. The straps held my feet without slipping and felt secure. I had at first thought I made a mistake wearing these hiking but after reaching the bottom I was confident that they would work for a hike in the mountains. A big advantage wearing these sandals is that your feet stay cool. In hiking boots my feet get hot. The adjustment strap is a bit long but in my case it does not touch the ground. I found it helpful to have the longer strap. I could tighten the strap quickly when climbing and loosen it afterwards for walking on flat ground. I like the snug fit when climbing but prefer a little looser when walking on a flat trail. Walking on a wet surface had the same grip feeling as wearing a hiking boot. The bottom of the sandal does look like a hiking boot sole. I measured the weight of each sandal and oddly one weighs more than the other. The left sandal was 11.2 oz and the right sandal was 14.2oz. This is for size 9. I also purchased the Chaco mega Z cloud and it too had different weighting per sandal. And the right sandal was the heavier one. Must be a manufacturing issue. I don't notice the weight difference when on my feet The straps didn't cause and irritation at all. I wore them on several short walks before hiking a longer trail. But I have been wearing sandals all day for 6 months or so and that might have prepared my feet for these straps. After about 1 day I started to feel like the heal was too narrow. I ordered the medium width which is my normal width. I stopped at a local shop and tried on a wide version of the same sandal and the heal was wider but it felt too wide, too much sliding around in the heel.. My foot had a bit of movement that I thought was too much. After experiencing steep terrain I am glad I kept the medium width, you need a snug fit to walk a steep incline. Any movement can throw your balance off. The width feeling was due to the cup at the heal of the sandal. Most sandals are shaped at the heal. However these sandals have a heel cup which has a different feel but it is what makes it possible to walk a rocky steep trail while holding your foot stable. The foot arch of the sandal is high. Much more arch than any other sandal I have seen. And my foot does well after walking in them for several hours. I feel the arch is really helpful. Summary, feels like wearing a hiking boot. Highly recommend for trail use or walking in general. I feel confident the straps will not break easily and I should get some indication when they wear out. I have had other high quality sandals look ok but suddenly snap while wearing them. Not great when a few miles out. I typically walk around 5 miles on a walk using these sandals. No issues wearing them. I have walked around 10+ miles in theses sandals and no issues to report yet. After wearing these sandals for a month or so I have found them incredible. I prefer these over any other sandal or shoe for walking. There are nicer looking sandals but not as comfortable or as good of traction as these.

The perfect do everything footwear
Had Chacos for years and can never go wrong with a new pair. From hiking to working and everything in between, I wear these everywhere. Super comfortable, great support and superior protection while allowing your feet to be free.

Boyfriend Loves Them
I’ve had a pair of chacos before and I love them. Got this pair for my bf and he wears them all the time. Fishing hiking anything outside. Easy to put on, good quality for price, and true to size. He says very comfy as well

The best sandals ever
I just purchased a new identical PO pair to replace my 7 year old pre covid chacos. I live in Texas and I wear these to walk daily, hike, kayak. I’ve gone whitewater rafting in these, hiked a dozen rivers, they are durable for everything. I’m actually a little emotional saying goodbye to my old pair. The new pair feels a little different so far, but I’m not worried. If anyone wants to see what a pair of chacos looks like after 3000 miles, here’s your contrast.

Great sandals
Paid $54.22 in January, and eleven months later Amazon has them listed for just under $100. Wow. The sandals are great, but not the price.

Helped my foot problems big time. Stylish. Very comfortable. Was recommended by my doctor.
Read the instructions. I almost returned them. And when I was packing it back in, I saw the instructions and realized how to use the strap. I’ve never owned this brand of sandals, and didn’t realize a lot of adjustment straps were worked through the sandal, and you move them by pulling and tugging. Very ingenious style. I was having some foot problems and my podiatrist recommended the sandals for even walking around in the house. I was very happy to see these worked perfectly. I had some other sandals that were high-end and expensive, but they didn’t provide the correct support that my foot needed. This might not be the last pair I buy.

Bring back the green straps!
Love them! Been wearing them for about 10 years, each set lasts me about 5 years of hard use! Basically all weekends above 60 degrees. My feet always hurt in regular shoes but never in my chacos! The webbing would always pull out from the sole by the ankle, the glue would just give out. I would tuck it back in and put a screw in to hold it and would get another year or so out of them!!! Couldn't feel the screw in the thick sole. Used to be a very avid hiker and I would always wear my chacos! They've been all around washington and oregon trails. I had no problem with them getting wet and just keep on hiking! Almost took them on a Mt. Adams summit but I let my buddies talk me out of it. I'm positive they would have been fine! Only complaint is I miss the green color that I originally had.

Love them. Live in them.
Great sandals. Wore through the tread of the last pair so was time to order another. Too bad I can't use the ReChaco program (don't live in the US) but was happy to get another pair.

literally feels like you’re walking barefoot but better.
Love this sandal! I’ve been wearing the ladies version for 3 years. By far the most comfortable walking sandals EVER! I’ve been looking for the men’s version for 2 years for my husband. He’s been looking for years for the right sandal. The way the straps cross over your foot, nothing between your toes and hold it in place on the sole, feels like you’re walking barefoot but with a lovely thick sole. I’ve even worn mine as water shoes in Hawaii on the sharp lava rocks. Honestly he was sceptical as I’ve raved about mine the whole time and he thinks I’m a drama queen.....who’s raving now...? 😏

Buen producto, pide una talla abajo
Normalmente soy 26 en todo el calzado que compro, estos chacos los pedi 26 pero un 25 me hubiera quedado mejor, vienen un poquito grandes, aunque aún están cómodas

Supportive
I like the fit and feel of these sandals a lot. I've not had many spot type sandals but of those I've had these are the best by far.
