I have bought many sandalwood beads which were questionable in their authenticity. These smell like my sandalwood fan; slightly spicy, deep and rich wood scent, nothing sweet or bitter.The scent may be strong at first since they are sealed in a bag. I personally don’t find them strong. The scent does soften with time but doesn’t completely disappear.The quality of the beads are stellar. They are shaped evenly and smoothly. They don’t have that high polish coating. The shape of these beads are not quite round, meaning they aren’t faulty, they just aren’t a complete round bead, nor are they rondelle shaped. They are somewhere in between which makes the width of the bead approximately 6mm but the height a little less.The holes on these beads are smoothly drilled. There aren’t any rough spots which may fray a thread when pulled through. The size of the holes are pretty much about 1mm. I can fit an 18 gauge wire into the bead with no problem but it is a full fit. 20 gauge gives it some wiggle room; this is the biggest size I would go with. It can easily accommodate anything smaller.For thread, I found I can insert a doubled Tex 210 with no problem. Same goes for a Silk thread in size FFF. A polyester waxed 1mm cord fits in as a single strand and double which becomes a tight fit. If you want truly fragrant and authentic sandalwood beads, these are the ones to get!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very small, wonderful scent *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2019* They smell amazing, but they are more oblong than spherical (more like 4mm by 6mm).
