**Q: Please clarify "midi compliant". can this keyboard be connected to a pc and used to input notes to programs like  finale,  sibelius, or musescore?**
A: Hi Jerry C. YES!!! PC or Laptop, etc. If it has a USB port you're good to go! If you have your favorite DAW you can experience one of the greatest creativity options ever. Imagine, using your MIDI to record a note(s) into your DAW. Then by using MIDI edit, you can take those same note(s) and make them louder or soft, change the length on sound, change the note up or down, slide note(s) back and forth or up and down at will, plus more than I've discovered to date. The Casio 61-key portable keyboard (CTX700) gives you the same functionality as the more expensive brands. I only regret waiting this long before I finally made my purchase. But, by doing so, my creativity level has skyrocketed. The question most asked regarding my music is: "How did you do that??? I hope this helped you and I hope you make some of the most fantastic music ever heard!!!

**Q: What is the distance (in inches) from the bottom of the keyboard to the top of the keys?**
A: 2 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of the white keys.

**Q: Can this be played comfortably on your lap? I spend a lot of time on the bus and would like something portable that I can play while waiting.**
A: I sit on the couch and play mine with it balanced on my lap.  I am tall so my thighs are probably longer; it might not be as comfortable for short people.
