They move a lot of air but they tend to be a bit noisy. When I want a lot of moving air or I want white noise for a sleep, those fans are great. For TV I want much less airflow and much less noise. I already have a similar one in my water pump, but this one,in the description says it doesn't support it, why?** A: You have to start the motor at 100% and then back it down to the desired RPM. I am running a one horsepower buffer on mine and you can definitely tell when you put too much pressure on it that the motor wants to stall. But working with the manufacturer I was satisfied with the solutions they provided. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works With my Bench Grinder *by D***R on 3 February 2025* I suppose that just purchasing a variable speed bench grinder in the first place is the better option. However, since mine is set up with the wheels I want and mounted with appropriate measurements for woodturning tools I sharpen, this speed controller is a good addition. At about half the dial the voltage gets so low that the grinder shuts off, but about mid range the RPM is slowed enough for sharpening and reduction of the heat build-up for my tools.
