The Berkey company says this about this model "Due to the outdoor use of this system, the Berkey PF-2 Post Reduction element is typically not necessary, nor do they fit within the Go Berkey system." I hope that answers your question. **Q: How often does it need to be primed?** A: If you let the filter dry out then you'll need to prime it. When you clean it then normally you'll also need to prime it. I use mine every single day so, unless I let the filter get dry or I have just cleaned it, I haven't needed to re-prime it. This might sound bad, or good, but I normally clean the black filter about once every 6 months or so. When the water takes longer then about an hour to filter through. I figure as long as it is working well, then I don't mess with a good thing ;) I do look at it every day to be sure nothing gross is growing but since I refill and use it 2 to 3 times each day, nothing seems to ever build up. **Q: Where does the water come out from? I don't see a dispenser like I see in the other Berkey models!! How long does it take to filter one gallon?** A: I have purchased two of these. The first one works relatively quickly. The second takes a few hours to filter about 20 ounces, making it useless for most purposes. I fill at night for use in the morning. (NB: I know how to prime properly.) The black filters are not uniformly effective.
