how easy are the control buttons?does it have volume control?

Very easy, just press the button, you can also raise or lower volume when you are listening to music. Sometimes I directly stop music on that button. Also you can use button to adjust the lights.

Mine doesn't want to charge anymore how do you fix

I thought the same thing, almost returned mine. BUT. Based on some reviews, I found out that the button is just annoying. I got mine to turn on by holding it in one hand, and pressing really hard on the power button with my other, and holding it. Then it works well. For some reason, trying to turn it on with the same hand you hold it in just doesn't work. Idk maybe I'm just weak, but give it a try.

Does it work with iphone xs?i have ever bought a speaker that worked with my ipod but is not compatible with my iphone xs

Yes, it works with any bluetooth capability devices. My ios devices, iphone xs, tablet and my laptop do great work for that. There is also an aux input on that unit. I like this speaker for led lights.
