The book is in good condition considering it's a used book. I expected some wear and tear on the outer cover, but the inside cover is a bit damaged as well. Regardless, it’s a decent buy, even if it felt slightly pricey

First of all this is not for delusional mind. If you have little understanding about life and yourself then this book will bring closer to the reality. Each and every paragraph is insightful. I would not recommend this book to everyone. Because Only a few can understand and become different in the crowd. So this is only for those special people out there in the crowd who really want to know ~ The Reality of Life”

The Book of Secrets is Osho’s commentary on Vigyan Bharava Tantra ( The Book of Shiva), an ancient book on Tantra. Tantra means technique. There are 112 meditation techniques that Osho discusses in this book These techniques are intended for transforming the mind .Tantra says there is no duality in the world ,there is no such thing as good or bad, virtue or vice, beautiful or ugly. It is because of the division of the mind that we see duality in this world. On practicing any one of the techniques out of the 112 one can attain a non-dual, unified mind like the one that reminds of a child’s mind.. The book Vigyan Bhairav Tantra starts with Devi asking certain philosophical questions to Shiva like O Shiva, What is your reality? What is this wonder filled universe? What constitute seed? Who centers the universal wheel?- But Shiva is not giving any verbal or logical or philosophical answers to these questions. Instead he gives her a technique to practice. And if Devi practices this technique, she will know it for herself.This is the Tantric way of answering a question . If a blind man is asking what is light Tantra will not explain to him what is light , instead he will be given proper treatment to cure his blindness, so that he can see. Tantra will say how to attain insight, how to attain seeing, how to attain vision. Tantra will not give you the answer. Tantra will give you the technique to attain the answer. There are 112 meditation techniques that Osho discusses in the Book of secrets starting from breathing techniques to stop techniques and ending with the philosophy of emptiness. It also discusses the techniques of attentiveness and awareness, looking techniques , sound and silence techniques etc. etc..All activities as well as non-activities of everyday life are considered in this book as meditation techniques to transform the mind. ..There are 80 chapters altogether in this book spreading over 1302 pages. . Each chapter , describing the meditation techniques and carrying the lines of Shiva - Devi dialogues translated into English from Vigyan Bhairava Tantra , is followed by a chapter of Osho’s responses on questions from seekers . A good book to read and assimilate. An Osho reader will definitely love this book.

Tbh, I used to think Osho was some fruitcake guy who worships sex. I remember watching 60 Minutes here in Oz when they first had Osho and his commune in the US. I wasn’t impressed. But things changed and have miraculously since 2019. About 3 years ago, my wife and I attended a Tantric Sex Retreat for Couples only that ran for a week. Man, that literally changed our lives!! Our minds were stretched into oblivion that we could not be the same again. We healed each other, had many revelations and Alchemy experiences, it was extraordinary. Since then I have been researching and reading ancient texts on Tantra. One day, I was researching something about Tantra. I saw this link on ‘Osho’ and ’Tantra’. Because of the change that has happened in me, I decided to click on the link. And was I surprised!! I found this 10 chapter treatise on Tantra by Osho. Each chapter was quite lengthy. All I know at some stage of reading those 10 chapters, I felt such peace and stillness that I have never felt before. Which then made me revisit with new eyes and a fresh perspective and watched a few documentaries on Netflix about Osho. Because of the stillness and peace I had experienced, I saw Osho from a different perspective, and still do to this day. When I found out about ‘The Book of Secrets’ by Osho, I first read the negative comments, ALL the way to the positive comments. All of them! I deduced that the book was certainly in my best interests to purchase. Sure the book was advertised with a CD, but there wasn’t a CD. That to me was immaterial. It was the information within the book that I was after, rather than a CD or DVD… Also I have ordered which still I am waiting it to be delivered to me by Amazon, the ‘The Secret of Secrets’ by Osho. I am reading atm The Book of Secrets, and truly, I am in heaven reading it and fully content!! I am taking it slowly too. So far what Osho has said on Tantra, my wife and I can wholeheartedly relate to what Osho says about Tantra. Depending on your life’s journey, whether you are at the same vibration to receive Osho; I wholeheartedly recommend this book. The book arrived to me in perfect condition and is better constructed than the first run of the book, gathering from people’s experiences from buying the first edition. This is the ‘New & Revised Edition’ which is better. Super happy & content with my purchase, and thank you Amazon for making it available to purchase, and the speedy delivery to my home.

I just started reading it and man I can't express it words how full of wisdom it is. But there is a thing to be aware about.....if you are not into this kind of stuff or doesn't understand the complex English sentences well....try to work on them first. Rest all... A great book for seekers and a reliable guide for meditation! Thanks
