Just need to pre heat the stone. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Review *by J***H on 15 June 2024* Really nice stone for the money. Durable and solid. Make sure you let the stone come up to temperature before cooking on otherwise your breads might stick to the stone. This stone is thicker than the previous set of tiles I was using. It takes longer for it to reach oven temp. This is just an FYI for first time use if you are switching from a thinner stone like I did. I previously used un-glazed tiles to cook pizza, bagels, and breads on. I just updated this to a 3-star rating. I think I will switch back to the un-glazed tiles I bought previously at our local big box hardware store. The issue with this stone is that it is such a great insulator, it takes forever to get up to heat. For example on the bagels I have made recently, the oven is at 425 degrees, but I think the stone is still below temp even after pre-heating at 425 for 40 minutes. What happens is the bottom side of the bagel doesn't release from the stone. It sticks to it.
