My PT recommended this product because it creates a moist heat, which penetrates to the bone unlike dry heat like a traditional heating pad. Just microwave it for the recommended time (I think it’s only 2.5 minutes) and apply to area. It’s nice and large so it wrapped around my arm and then some. The heat lasts a long time and the weight feels soo nice when used on my shoulders or on my stomach for cramping. Its feels like a warm, comforting hug. I’m so thankful my PT recommended this! It makes you feel good… *by K***R on 11 January 2023* A friend gave me one of these shoulder warmers years ago when I used it until it fell apart. I then started looking for a replacement and tried a few before I found this one. I put this in the microwave for two minutes almost every morning and then start my morning chores with it on my shoulders. I lift weights and run and work out quite a bit so between the weights and the planks I always have a few twinges, but I’m not really using this for big pain. However, if you just want something that is cozy, comfortable and would help neck or shoulder pain this thing is wonderful.
