Review: Sturdy retainer for heavy gate - Bought to hold a heavy side gate open against a wall, it was easy to fit, works perfectly, and has survived some extreme weather since last August. Occasional application of a light oil has kept it working smoothly, especially during that very hot weather last year. Not sure how long it will last, being made of plastic, but no sign of any wear or problems so far. Fantastic at the price.

**Q: Does this come with the necessary screws?**
A: Yes, they do come with the necessary screws and raw plugs.

**Q: Will this fit a Coachman touring caravan?**
A: They are for static and touring caravans so should do. The base is held in place by two screws and is about 2" wide if that helps? If it is the first time you have changed one, you will probably find the old one held in with glue as well as the screws.

**Q: Could this work on normal door?**
A: This is used on outward opening caravan doors which can open 180 degrees to rest against the side of the caravan or mobile home. It should work on other doors of this type. On an inward opening door the two parts would project into the room and could be inconvenient when the door is closed.

**Q: What are the included tiny (~8mm long and 2mm diameter stem) white plastic bits, shaped like a tall conical headed mushroom, for, if anything?**
A: It is a retainer catch for a door, I use it for a garage side door to keep it open, the two separate parts are for fitting on the door and on the wall to fasten the door to. It is spring load and larger 8mm stem clicks into the 2mm stem which is the spring loaded part.
