First of all, most paint rollers are 9 inches, but this setup, although adjustable, can only accommodate 12 and 19-inch rollers. All the parts are separate, and they are attached by threaded plastic stems. Theoretically, this should make the setup mobile and packable. In reality, it just makes it heavy, flimsy, and prone to breakage at the joints. In addition, when paint gets into the threads, it would be very difficult to assemble/disassemble. Unfortunately, the head is threaded too. Meaning that the only way to attach/detach the roller is to unthread the two orange nobs. Anybody who has painted before knows that the head is going to get covered in paint. Good luck unscrewing those nobs after a paint job! The included roller heads are good quality with a nice nap. They all come with two removable orange end pieces. I would keep those as they can be reused for other standard roller heads. The paint removal tools are nice too. I got two of them for some reason. I think this setup is best for painting floors as there is less of a chance of the treaded pieces getting covered in paint. For wall painting, I would just pick a length and attach the handle pieces once with the intention of never taking them apart again. This should make the handle last longer. I don't trust those plastic threaded stems.
