The progress of the rot declined drastically and my betta showed signs of getting back!!! Conclusion: The salt treats finrot and kills the progress. The salt did not help the regrowth of the fins though!! Caution: Use as recommended. The addition of salt to normal tank might decrease the bubble nest and this is pretty normal I believe! Addition of salt in high volume might lead to pass out of the fish.
