My wife is around 240 pounds and I think that weight is a factor when they decide to split. We alsolive in Arizona where temperatures are over 100+ dry heat and that wears on them as well. Love them and will continue to buy them as they are affordable. **Q: What was the normal weight of the person that didn't experience it breaking** A: It can definitely accommodate 200 plus weight. I had one of these break last year from kids playing with it but I think eventually it breaks no matter the weight from wear and tear. **Q: How much does one weigh before blown up? Have to watch weight...** A: They weigh very little. Maybe a pound or so. We really liked these, but we purchased 3 of them and within 3-4 days all 3 of them had broken. The seat that you sit on comes detached from the sides, then it is useless. We had all sizes of people on them, and they all broke - so it wasn't dependent on the weight of the person. **Q: How big is the package when you receive it? Is it small enough to pack for a trip?** A: Not too big.
