A+ egg poacher!
After a half-century creating culinary masterpieces and almost as many equally impressively terrible dishes, I learned long ago that single-purpose cookware is almost always a waste of money. The ‘hot doggers.’ The mini-waffle makers. The “As-seen-on-TV” rotisseries. And the Make-a-bacon-basket-in-your-microwave and other contraptions. The most notable and fun were gifted from loved ones at Christmas and birthdays, and we’re grateful they even thought of us. But their novelty wore out quickly and just took up valuable kitchen and pantry space. But sometimes we actually need single-purpose cookware to do a fundamental job right every time. A good egg poacher is one. I’ve been poaching ‘the hard way,’ making tornados, for decades, but frankly, the technique has become such a pain in the neck because I can only do one egg at a time (impractical when entertaining) and my success rate isn’t high. Dedicated egg poachers like this product save so much hassle and have close to perfect results every time. Too, they can be used to hardboil without the tedious task of ice baths and de-shelling afterward. So I purchased the Eggssentials 6-egg poacher. Go big or go home, right? It’s very well made. The pan base is substantial weight, like better cookware is. The clear glass lid is vented (and tempered?). The insert is lighter weight and has non-sharp edges. The cups are big enough for my jumbo and extra-large eggs, and because they’re almost semi-spherically shaped, so the heavy egg yolks center in the middle of the white every time. I debuted the Eggssentials on a half dozen fresh extra-large eggs. I don’t like ‘cooking spray,’ so just used three drops of Grazo ‘Sizzling’ EVOO to grease all 6 cups with my finger. Then, I drained off each egg’s thin fluid using a fine mesh sieve, and plopped the egg into a ramekin. It’s important to do seive, because the fluid is superfluous and WILL impact your results. I seasoned and swirled each egg around to distribute the spices, and dropped it into a pan cup. Once the cups were filled and my pan’s water was solidly simmering, I inserted the insert, poached for 5 minutes under the lid, and checked. Several eggs weren’t as done as others, and it was because I hadn’t seived enough of their fluid off. So I let the entire rack poach for another minute. My eggs turned out almost great, but the well-drained eggs were more done than the watery ones. Next time, I’ll use a less-fine mesh to drain every egg better and equally beforehand Cleanup was trivial, and I hand-washed every part with a soft scrubber even though I have a great dishwasher. That said, I know this Eggssentials pan is a winner!

Highly Recommended – Perfect Poached Eggs Every Time!
I love Eggs Benedict, but I always had trouble making poached eggs that were ready when everything else was. The Eggssentials Poached Egg Maker has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. It delivers consistently perfect poached eggs with almost no effort, making restaurant-quality breakfasts easy at home. What really stands out is how simple and reliable it is. Just add water, crack in the eggs, put the lid on the pan, place it on the stove top and let the machine do the work. The eggs come out with beautifully set whites and warm, runny yolks—exactly how poached eggs should be. No swirling water, no vinegar, and no guessing. I also appreciate the compact size and thoughtful design. It fits in with my other pans for storage, heats evenly, and is very easy to clean. Cleanup is quick, which is a big plus for everyday use. It’s especially great for anyone who enjoys eggs Benedict, avocado toast, or a healthy breakfast without the hassle. I even came up with an alternative to regular eggs Benedict, which I call Eggs Kenedict. They feature salmon cakes instead of Canadian bacon and a spicy cheese sauce instead of hollandaise, which I always had problems with. Overall, the Eggssentials Poached Egg Maker is well-built, convenient, and delivers excellent results every time. If you’ve ever struggled with poaching eggs on the stovetop, this little appliance is absolutely worth it. I would confidently recommend it to anyone who loves eggs and values consistency and convenience.

Good poaching pan with a few adjustments
It makes really good poached and soft boiled eggs! Edit: Reached out to company and they promptly sent a spatula! Pros: Eggs come out easily with a light spray of olive oil. Easy to clean, egg cups wipe up easy. Adjusting the time from 4:30-6min will give you different yolks. Do not put more than the recommended 1/2” of water ! It will splatter water all over cooktop. Con’s: The tray that holds the egg cups! The edges where the holes are stamped out are extremely sharp! Took a little sanding with a 150 grit and some fine steel wool. Fixed that problem. The way the knob on the glass lid does not seam to be mounted good. It just has metal washer. There is some cracking noises as this heats up. Going to try a small flexible washer to give a little expansion room. Did not arrive with the spatula! Overall I like the pan, it does what it’s supposed to but for the price they have a little work to do! We shouldn’t be sanding sharp edges on a “finished” product or any other modifications. Also you will need a cleaner to remove the spotting in water pan. This isn’t really a manufacturing defect then it’s made of SS.

I like it, negatives and positives
I have two of these, one 4 egg and one two egg. I do like these, or I wouldn’t have bought two of them. They have been upgraded some in the last year like new glass top knob, and I think the handle on the pan also not sure what else they upgraded the rest looks the same to me. They work great and I use them mostly for simple pouched eggs or eggs Benedict. POSITIVES are the work great, the pan is thick and heavy weight, the cups nonstick hasn’t pealed, handles and knobs are nice ,the pan doesn’t corrode, decent quality but not top end quality. They sell a lot of these and obviously care to some extent about their quality and product or they wouldn’t have upgraded them. Pretty easy to clean but most people want very easy to clean. It only takes a few minutes to clean in the sink. AND DO NOT PUT THESE IN DISHWASHER IF YOU WANT THE NONSTICK TO LAST LONGER AND DEFINITELY DO NOT PUT THE MIDDLE SECTION THAT HOLDS THE CUPS IN THE DISHWASHER OR THEY WILL CORRODE, NOT MITE BUT WILL CORRODE. That middle section looks like 304 stainless but it’s not, I believe it is a lower quality stainless steel and there are multiple different stainless steels out there. I think it’s a different steel from the pan also. The pan is not a good quality of stainless steel but it’s ok and it doesn’t rust. The middle section will. So hand wash these and dry off the middle section as soon after you wash it. DO NOT PUT THE PARTS IN THE SINK AND WASH THEM AT A LATER TIME LIKE LATER THAT EVENING OR ESPECIALLY THE NEXT DAY THE MIDDLE SECTION WILL GET CORROSION SPOTS ON IT I KNOW BECAUSE I DID THAT AND THE MIDDLE SECTION CORRODED, I was pissed. But I like them and nobody makes a better quality one right now these are the best on marketplace. NEGATIVES, not true stainless the pan gets discolored spots on it even after first use but it’s not corrosion , unlike high quality stainless pans like Cruisinart all clad and etcetera that use a high quality stainless steel. The middle section is obviously not a true stainless steel like 304 , it will corrode if left wet. This is the weak point of this product. It’s not the greatest nonstick out there you need to use Pam on the cups, no real complaints though I use Pam on nonstick anyway but they could use a little better nonstick though. The only real negative is the middle section that will corrode if left wet or put in dishwasher. I do like this product and use them every week. SO IF THE COMPANY IS LISTENING UPGRADE THE MIDDLE SECTION TO A BETTER QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL AND YOU DEFINITELY WILL HAVE THE BEST EGG POACHER ON AMAZON!!! By the way did I mention I really do like this product and I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. So buy on and have a great breakfast and morning.

Easiest poached eggs ever
The Eggssentials - Poached Egg Cups - Pack of 4 work exactly as they are described. I followed the provided directions using a 3 1/2" deep, 12" diameter stainless steel pan with a correctly fitting lid and 1/2" of water. All four, spray oiled cups fit easily in the pan with the water on low boil. Directions say to cook 5-10 minutes. At 5 minutes the eggs were perfect. Slid right out of the cups onto my toasted English Muffins with Canadian Bacon. The hollandaise sauce was crying to be poured over the eggs. Delicious.

Way Exceeded My Expectations!!!
I don't write reviews very often, but the Eggssentials Poached Egg Cups way exceeded my expectations! They worked perfectly the very first time I used them! I just did some simple eggs in the microwave - which is what I bought them for. I spritzed just a bit of oil in them and the eggs didn't stick. Although it may not have been necessary, I used a small rubber spatula to loosen the edges a bit and the eggs slid right out. The base is stable so you can just set the cups directly onto the microwave tray. The cups washed up very easily. Easy prep. Easy cook. Easy clean up. Compact storage. Lightweight. Good value!! Highly recommended! Side note: We bought these to use in our RV to make a quick and easy breakfast when we didn't want to take the time (or make the mess) to cook a big breakfast, but still wanted to get some protein.
