My Samsung H7150 (Series 7) smart remote, the little tiny tear-shaped remote just stopped functioning one fine day. I initially thought that it was a case of bad batteries, but after replacing two sets of nice and working batteries, I figured that the smart remote had gone bonkers. Now you know how expensive a new smart remote from Samsung itself would be. It was 6.5k INR from samsungparts dot com the last time I checked. All this for a remote control with Bluetooth. But then we don't really need a Bluetooth remote, do we? That's when I jumped on Amazon and saw raving reviews of this remote. At 1/20th of the cost, this was a no-brainer investment from a financial perspective. The remote has all the buttons you would need from a TV remote. And some more too. You can open some menus which were not available before. The only caveat being that you need to point the remote at the TV, since its an infrared one - but we can live with that. The remote works flawlessly and LRIPL has made a very good product. I just feel that the back/return button should have been a bit bigger.
