While the unprotected factory screen on the iPad does have a coating that resists smudging, I’m not terribly impressed with the performance. I “inherited” my iPad Air 2 from my daughter. While still in very good condition, the screen (unprotected) has suffered some wear and tear. I’ve purchased this product to minimize further damage. I only wish my daughter would have done so when the iPad was first purchased. I HAVE recommended that she do so for her new iPad! In the past, I have had issues applying screen protectors to various devices. Since this product comes with 4 protectors, I assumed it was because installation was difficult and would require multiple attempts. I must say though, that after watching a video, reading the instructions AND following them, I was able to get a near perfect install on my first attempt! I managed to miss one tiny speck of “dust” but it’s not within the viewing frame so I’m not going to redo an otherwise perfect application. I suppose the additional protector sheets may be due to limited durability and/or longevity of the material but that remains to be seen. At this point, I’m very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for an iPad screen protector. Price was reasonable and shipping was 2 days (with Prime)!
