Blocking the wind really helps more than you would think. This is the most I've ever spent on a jacket/coat, and it was worth every penny. Well made and should last me a long time. I'm 52 now, I expect this will last the rest of my life. Buy quality stuff and you only cry once. Note - you will need to re-proof it from time to time. The extra work is worth it though.
