I have also purchased two USB extensions from the local market and they were not working with telemetry but the pen drive was working. (I guess not able to provide enough current). So talking more about this cable. Yes, it is USB 3.0 and works great for Pendrive and speed is almost equivalent to what you will get if you use the system USB port which is great. (Image 1 Pendrive Connected to Desktop, Image 2 Pendrive connected to the USB extension). Now if we connect two of that to make 6 feet single extension I found that Pendrive was detected and working but speed has been reduced significantly almost one- third what we are getting from single cable( check Image 3). But telemetry was not when we attached two USB extensions, I think same power issues. --Caution -- Also, the sad part is that I don't know why my External SSD was not working with any of the cables, no idea tried multiple times also not checked the external HDD whether it will work or not So if you are buying for SSD or external HDD then please don't buy.
