**Q: Is the 8" width in the product description for the top or the bottom of the bag? I want to fit a 7.5"w notebook.**
A: The backpack was to small. Really couldn’t hold much. The quality was great but the size  
Of the bp was way to small, not very practical. 
Sorry l don’t know true size.

**Q: would this be big in enough for school and to fit a binder and multiple notebooks?**
A: I’m able to fit a 2 inch binder, folder, 3 larger spiral notebooks, my planner, my TI 84 calc, and my iPad at one time. It’s a decent size backpack it fits more than you’d think because it has a space for a laptop in the back.
