I have decided to go back to the tried and true banana peeler. **Q: Does this work on 4-12 AWG stranded?** A: No. The smallest wire diameter is 3/16 OD. It works well for the jacket of a multi-wire such as a 16/4 wire. **Q: Which version of the tool works on 1.0 guage battery cable ?** A: Hi, The CST-900, CST-1900, or CST-1140 all work on this type of cable.
