## Description

The KBWC Series are Wall Mount, AC Motor Fan Speed Controls packaged for resale if desired. They are designed for mounting into a 2" X 4" electrical wall box. They operate from 115/230/277VAC, 50/60 Hz and have a maximum rating from 2.5 - 15 Amps at ambient from 25° to 40ºC. They provide infinitely variable speed motor control for Shaded Pole, Permanent Split Capacitor and Universal (AC/DC) motors. The variable speed motor control contains an on/off line switch, a high gain RFI noise suppression filter, an adjustable trim pot to set the minimum speed and a flame retardant ABS enclosure. Applications include Ceiling Fans, Commercial Vent Hoods, Industrial Blowers, Laminar Flow Hoods, Heat Tunnels and Magnetic Stirrers.

Review: Good quality, big heat sink, great replacement. - Bought this switch for my old, approx 35 - 40 yr old Emerson 30" direct drive whole house fan. Fan was working perfectly except Orig switch would not turn on or off normally, so figured it was switch. No OEM replacement available. After doing some research found this KBWC-110K variable speed switch. Fan motor was 5.7 amp & original switch was 6 amp. That switch did get warm during use, even with vented cover. I decided to get higher 10 amp switch for a safety margin. Installed new switch hoping I got the correct type. After installing switch it worked fine, On / Off & variable speed. Has big heat sink which should disperse heat much better. Fits in single wall electric switch, but snug fit. A word of caution, you can adjust variable speed minimum speed via a setting screw on switch. That is good so not have minimum too low & damage motor. After installing switch I found out fan would go, what I felt, was too slow on lowest setting. I did not test before finishing install. I doubt I will go through the trouble of adjusting the minimum, and just mark the control face plate to identify minimum speed I want it to run at. A hassle to remove switch & make adjustment. Switch is good quality, seems like should last quite a while.
Review: Perfect fit - Worked perfectly , had to adjust low speed alittle but was simple and easy 👍🏼

## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this switch work for the iLiving 4200 24 Variable Speed Shutter exhaust fan?**
A: Joshua the fan should work with a triac controller.

**Q: Can i use this speed control on a fantech fr250? it uses way less amps than this rated, but is it ok as long as i am under amp limit? can i go to big?**
A: This should work as long as you don't exceed limits. Make sure you compare carefully before purchase. The replacement for that should be fantech wc15.

**Q: Will this work on a dayton 1tdu2 shaded pole psc blower, 3.7 amp and are there direction on how to wire it?**
A: Our controls will work with shaded pole and PSC motors, They are instructions included.

**Q: Is this on rated for 40 degree C?**
A: The specs on the item's page rates it from 25C to 40C wall mounted. 40 is at the top of it's rating. That's pretty hot for an ambient temp. When I was using this device for a whole house attic fan, it felt barely warm in a house that was no warmer than 27 degrees C or 80F

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alto ruido eléctrico al conectar a 5 ventiladores KDK
*by R***A on March 24, 2026*
