It as tall as the top to bottom distance between the small lip that goes all the way around the face of the device. But as long as you're careful when placing it onto the RP5 and are mindful of that tiny lip it's rather straightforward to place down and have no bubbles. The slight extension beyond the screen into the controller area is a nice compromise between just a rectangular cover over the screen and attempting to cover the entire device.
