The floor pads on the bottom were not pre-installed, instead I had to glue them on individually (3 per slat), adhesive backs were tricky to remove and it took quite a bit of time to glue them all. Some of the small wood blocks were cracked or broken, but nothing tragic. My biggest concern was the very strong wood odor. The wood appears natural and unfinished, but evidently Chinese pinewood release much higher and more irritating pine smell than North American pine, I experienced some airway irritation, coughing, watering eyes… at first I did not even make a clear connection. Now almost 3 weeks later it still causes airway irritation.
