Exceptional value and very good functionality.
I own both the wired version, this HERO model, and the wireless version of this mouse. For exceptional value and virtually the exact same user experience, this model offers outstanding value for money and would be my choice every time. No doubts there. I have included some photos showing the additional weights fitted to the base of the mouse. Sadly, the instructions were quite poor when it came to showing where each weight should be placed. The cover on the underside of the mouse is removed from the side to access the weight compartment. Adding the weights to suit your preference is easy enough. I use all of them, and I have large hands. The mouse fits comfortably in my hand and all of its functions are easy to reach and use. My wife, who has much smaller hands, also finds it equally comfortable and easy to use. Thankfully, being wired is barely noticeable compared to the wireless version, apart from the obvious need to plug it into the computer. I am using Windows 11, and as soon as I connected it, Windows recognised it as a device capable of dynamic lighting control. I set it to a solid light blue colour using the built-in Windows controls. I strongly suggest that you do not use Logitech's rather bloated software to customise functions and button assignments. Instead, download their lightweight and fully functional Onboard Memory Manager, available from Logitech. Their Hub software would be needed if you wish to run Macros etc. So take a look at both and decide what suits your needs. It is a very lightweight utility and, as shown in my photos, allows full profile and button customisation. Once you close it, nothing remains running in the system tray. It fully supports this mouse. The functionality of the mouse is excellent, with plenty of easy-to-reach buttons that can be assigned to whatever functions you prefer. The build quality is very good, and tracking is precise and accurate. The cable supplied with the mouse is also very long, which is useful for a wide range of setups. I genuinely cannot think of any issues or shortcomings that either of us has experienced while using it. It offers excellent grip, suits a wide range of hand sizes, and is built to a high standard. Very highly recommended

Solid, well-built mouse with excellent sensor, still holds up well
I picked up the Logitech G502 HERO for £38, which is a bit on the higher side for a wired mouse, but I tend to stick with Logitech as their mice have been consistently reliable for me over the years. Build quality is very good. The mouse feels solid in the hand, with a reassuring weight even before adding the adjustable weights. Nothing creaks, the buttons have a positive click, and overall it feels like a durable piece of hardware rather than something disposable. The shape is comfortable for longer sessions, especially if you prefer a more substantial mouse. The HERO sensor is excellent. Tracking is precise and consistent, and it performs exactly as expected whether for general desktop use or gaming. DPI adjustments are easy to access, and the on-board memory is useful if you move between machines and don’t want to rely on software every time. Functionality is where the G502 really stands out. The programmable buttons are genuinely useful rather than excessive, and the adjustable weight system lets you fine-tune the feel to your preference. Scroll wheel options, including the free-spin mode, are a nice touch and something I’ve come to expect from Logitech at this level. RGB lighting is present but subtle and easy to ignore or disable if you’re not interested. Logitech’s software is straightforward enough for setting profiles and button mappings, and once configured, you don’t need to think about it again. Overall, while £38 isn’t cheap for a wired mouse, the G502 HERO still represents good value given the build quality, sensor performance, and long-term reliability. If you already like Logitech mice and want something solid, accurate, and well proven, this remains a safe choice.

Great mouse, too demanding software
Excellent gaming mouse and also excellent for other uses. I would say the downsides are the G logo on. It just looks a bit weird and out of place in some people set ups and really annoyingly the software is just really heavy on your PC. It requires a lot of compute for some reason and if you make it boot on start up then it makes your start up a lot slower it’s fairly lightweight. The RGB isn’t bright but it’s excellent. A kind of just just not nice not super noticeable but you can notice it if that makes sense. It just looks really clean or as compared to my rubbish keyboard RGB it just looks excellent. It’s fairly lightweight and it does come with customisable weights which I just took all of them out of the first 10 seconds, but you know if you want heavy mouse then that’s an option. obviously which you should see from the product page but it is wired I’ve had quite a few people come round and try it and it does fit in most hand sizes really well although if you’re having long gaming sessions with fairly sweaty hands it does get some not very nice goose stuck in really not very nice places, so you might have to clean it a bit if you’re doing that.

Good gaming mouse with a solid design
A good gaming mouse that feels comfortable and well built. The ergonomic shape fits nicely in the hand, and there are plenty of buttons available for gaming and everyday use. The scroll wheel feels responsive, and the additional controls are useful once you get used to their positioning. The mouse also has a nice gaming-style design without being overly flashy. It feels sturdy and has good weight to it, while the cable is long enough for a typical desktop setup. Tracking has been smooth and responsive during my use, and overall it performs well for both gaming and general computer use. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the mouse is a little on the bulky side, and some of the extra buttons take a little time to get used to. Overall, a good, solid gaming mouse with plenty of features and good build quality. A worthwhile option for anyone looking for a feature-packed wired gaming mouse.

Great mouse, that's why I bought a second one.
It probably does everything that your likely to want. The buttons are easier to find than on most mice I've had, but without being able to press them accidentally. The thumb rest is actually where my thumb wants to be. The weights allow you to make it as light or as heavy as your likely to want, and if you should want to change the weight for different games, you just pull off the magnetic base plate. That in itself is a great design, on my old G502 it has never moved, and without the instructions you would probably never guess that it could come off. So 5 stars based on my old G502. The only difference I can see is that the new one does not have a fabric covered cable, a bit of a shame, but hardly a deal breaker, especially at this price.

Good mouse.
Excellent gaming mouse. loads of customisations and well made. However it does cause me to hold it claw handed and this is something that i wanted to avoid doing. My hands are fairly large and despite my doing some research suggesting that this mouse is good for the large handed i would say results are mixed. However i kept it and Ive been using it for over a year now and all is well.

Would recommend
Not had many mouses before so can't compare it to much but for the first one I've ever bought it feels very good in quality and functionality. Love that it has 2 scroll wheel settings, I like being able to adjust the mouse speed and weight. Feels very nice on the hand. Overall quite a good mouse.
