We are using it as enrichment material after school a few times a week. The book is very well organized, clearly presented and easy for him to do just a chunk as he desires.This isn't the original Singapore math so there's no textbook. (Check out [...]for more about the history of the Singapore curriculum.) So I wouldn't use it as a main resource for that reason. Also if I wasn't very comfortable with math myself, we might want a more comprehensive solution. But this is perfect for our situation.It follows the same curriculum as far as what is presented in each level and the methods used to figure out different types of problems. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the many good options out there... *by L***Y on December 4, 2012* I bought 5 levels of this series. Working on level 2A with 5 year old. Like most 5 year olds, she would rather be playing with her toys. We try to sit down regularly and do about 5-7 pages. Sometimes it feels like the method this book uses is really clicking...if anything, they are great practice problems. Good mix of challenging and easy problems that helps build confidence. My recommendation is to try it. You can spend your hard earned money in worse ways... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not for US version but still useful as practice *by M***Y on July 11, 2016* Didn't get 4 stars because it did not specify it is not for the US but for the Standards (?) version. It follows along relatively well with the lessons, but not exactly with the US version. You can figure it out but it's not as forthright. Glad to have the extra practice when needed, and it does a nice job of giving examples and explaining the rationale.
