Lossless DSP equalization, adjustable crossfeed control, selectable digital filtering, a far more robust battery changing system that now allows you to use this as a table top DAC left plugged into your AC supply if desired. But that’s not really what you asked - I own both and find the Mojo two to be sonically superior in the following ways: 1) basic clarity has improved - for me that allows me to relax into the music more easily. 2) Dynamic range has improved meaning the softest dynamics are clear and very easy to hear and enjoy, and then when a sudden increase in content is delivered by the music that amount of increased volume sounds more like what I hear in live music. 3) stereo separation seems more lifelike than when using my original Mojo. The width and depth of the performance seems more like live music. 4) And this is linked to sound quality, but with the new Mojo 2 I can take the slight high frequency dominance my headphones seem to exhibit no matter what I plug them into, and using the lossless DSP equalization I’m able to select the offending frequency and knock it down in one (1)dB increments. Made all the difference in the world to my listening. Hope that helps **Q: currently using dragonfly red, would I really appreciate mojo 2 new technology?** A: I bought mojo2 early December, knowing could return if not impressed. Wanted to see if stepping up to >500 dac worthwhile. Immediately noticed more desirable sound for me. Rich clear extended sound, none of that etch in the highs that the 'giant killer' lower cost dacs have. Definitely a more analog type of sound. Though I am also tainted listening to the designers youtube video about design and implementation with the focus on listening tests to evaluate - none of that crazy spec chasing that see on ASR. No coupling caps and trust Chord delivering their sonic character. Difficult to find these used in US, had considered used next model up like qutest but I am very happy with it and never did return it. It is my daily driver so to speak.
