It's soft and gentle on my skin . I do not feel too hot when I'm under it I feel just right. It has a temperature control material would into it so that explains why it's so comfortable to use.I wrapped myself up in this blanket to watch a movie the other night. My son crawled right up next to me to share this blanket .
