My 3.5 year old 8 lb toy poodle was driving me nuts for years with the most high pitched bark every time she heard any little noise. I finally caved, for my sanity, and bought this collar. My little angel, formerly spawn of Satan, rarely barks anymore. Her entire demenour changed within a week and she’s quiet even when the collar is off. This collar will change my life. *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2018* I didn't want to use this. My dog is 3 pounds full grown, and even thought the collar is the smallest they make - it's still giant on him. They say it's good for dogs 4 pounds and up, but I was able to make it small enough around following the instructions on the site. I was also concerned because he's got a super fluffy ruff, and it says you might need to shave hair away for it to work. I REALLY didn't want to do that, so I emailed the company. Customer service was awesome - they told me even if I cut it to fit, I'd still have 30 days to return it, so I could try it out without shaving my dog. I was still hesitant -- such a tiny little neck! I'm kicking myself for waiting. This. . . thing. . . works. My little beast howls when I leave the room. HOWLS. Like a demon monkey. I didn't even know it was possible for a dog that small to make so much noise. I have 2 dog trainers and for months tried ALL of the positive training techniques. (Every dog I've had before grows out of this after the puppy phase, but he didn't.) Then I tried an ultrasonic noise device and it helped, kind of. And after a couple weeks he got used to it and the howling continued. But this collar worked immediately. One whine, one beep from the device, and silence. It's been 3 days, and I've tried all the things that "set him off" before. He's only whined 3 times - each time the collar beeped immediately, and he stopped - immediately. Then, silence. So even if he ends up "getting used" to it (which I think he won't) then that's on him; not the collar. This collar works exactly as it says it will. It fits and it goes off when he makes noise. And the beeping is more effective than I ever thought it would be. TRY IT. Don't wait.
