Then used a belt sander to smooth all edges. We also used a mitre saw. Were cutting small quilting templates. Straight cuts were pretty smooth, requiring less sanding. More sanding required on curves irregular elliptical shapes. My cats keep jumping on my display case that only has one shelf that's not protected. So I am making clear doors for that shelf. It is very sturdy and when I get the other pieces that I need to make the sliding little doors they will not need a frame. My only complaint would be that the four corner pieces they had to protect the corners were shattered.
