It does everything I want of it and set up was very easy. I was able to use the codes supplied with the device to set up our Hisense TV, Panasonic BlueRay player, and BT (Sagem) YouView box. Our 4th device is a Roku Express 4K box - and I had to use the learning function. However, with only about 12 buttons on the Roku device, it only took a couple of minutes! So, we are rather chuffed and no longer have a coffee table cluttered with remote controls. You do need 2x AAA batteries which alas, are not supplied with the device. This device has been in production for many years. Looking back, I purchased one in 2016! Sky remotes manage to use one button to activate the both Sky box and the TV. This is achieved by changing the code depending on how long the button is pressed. The URC has no such buttons. **Q: I cant switch on my tv. How do you programme the remote control in this situation?** A: Of the code number for you tv is not on list follow the instructions to set it up manually. It may take many attempts. Remember you always have to press tv before the power button. This is a good remote but needs the correct order always to be.followed. **Q: As this device claims to operate a dvd player were are the skip forward and back buttons as these are essential for dvd operation** A: the buttons are there, play,pause.f/forward,rewind but you must have the correct code for the DVD player to work correctly **Q: Does this work with a panasonic hd recorder** A: It's a 1 for All so is a universal remote control. Just need to set it by following instructions in the manual which is very clear and simple. It just took me few minutes to connect my PanasonicTV. It has TV,SAT,AMP and DVD settings option on it so I guess it should be ok.
