For cartridge filter pools: capacity (bypass filtration) is required. Reliable test kit tests pool water pH and adjusts pH to 7.2 or higher. For extremely cloudy pool water, turn off the pump and pour approximately 4 ounces per 5,000 gallons of water evenly to the surface of the water to instantly polish pool walls and stairs. Wait 24-72 hours, organic particles and inorganic particles settle on pool floor. Cartridge Filter Pool: Remove the filter element and reassemble the filter canister with the pool pump off. Prepare to waste by hand with a vacuum pool. Turn on the pool pump and slowly vacuum the pool until heavy sediment is removed. Turn the pump off, reinstall the filter element, and resume normal filter operation at least 24 hours. Monitor pool filter pressure and when pressure exceeds normal operating pressure: turn off the system and clean the filter element, then resume the filter until the pool is clear and free of sediment.
