But the magnetic lock is waterproof. By the way, attached a video to show how to operate the device. **Q: Can data be downloaded to see who has been through door?** A: No not at all. There's nowhere to connect to. It's extremely primitive and wasn't even strong enough to hold a cabinet door closed from my two year opening it. The instructions are tough to figure out, but reading a similar product review I was able to get it right the first time. It powered up and I set the codes and tested the release options. Then I walked away and 10 minutes later the AC converter had turned off. I couldn’t get it back on so ordered another with a partial Amazon refund for the converter/power supply. To be awesome this needs: 1) better instructions, 2) longer leads especially on the power supply. It is extremely difficult to wire the 110 to the converter in a junction box, 3) an ac power supply that works. Definitely not a professional security product, but great for a hidden door. Update: Have it all installed now. Super cool. I’m working on splicing a second magnet to the bottom of the door...if the power supply has enough juice for it. That way the hidden door is secure and does not cork when pushed.
