A: Yes this would be the correct switch to install in the Baldor BC140 controller.

**Q: Can this be part be used for reversing motor speed on the kbic-120 or kbic-125 speed controller?**
A: Yes, you can use it on the KBIC board, but I would suggest that you purchase the KBMD-240D. This is the drive that will work with the 9860.

**Q: I have a kb sc-9860a that came in a box. is this the same switch as your 9860?**
A: Yes the 9860 and SC-9860A is the same part.

**Q: what is the difference between this and a 9840A switch?**
A: Hi, I assume you mean part# 9480 not 9840.  The difference is that the 9860 is a mechanical reversing switch for the KBMD-240D Nema 1, DC motor controls.  It included a DB resistor to bring the motor to a stop prior to reversing it.  
The 9480 is a reversing switch for the KBAC package A&B controls.  The KBAC controls are a Nema 4X control for AC Motors.
