The 3-in-1 can be a little difficult to snap the upper body onto the lower body so this one may require assistance from an adult. It's still a great toy as 3 separate pieces. The 2-in-1 set is much easier for little kids to do on their own. Overall these toys and far less complicated than actual transformers toys so they are all still great toys for kids ages 4 - 6
